    Compared to now, a cell phone ain’t anything special without the common features of a pocket-sized computer, music player, camera, & just about everything but the kitchen sink*.

    *kitchen sink app available someday in the 21st century or later.

    @oiromaha That wasn’t the best technology as the “compact” MicroTac was went on sale in mid-1989 at a very high price.

    by 1990 seems radio shack was offering portable cell phones. lol Well anyways, there used to be a commercial on here from 1988 where Radio Shack was just introducing the car phones.
